The Epson P-2000 portable multimedia storage viewer is probably one of the first practical portable device for the digital photographer. That's why we immediately acquired one and tested the recovery of erased and partially damaged pictures, mp3 files and movies ,with PhotoRescue 2.1.667.

The recovery was trouble free, and actually faster than expected, thanks to the very good USB 2 performance of the device. PhotoRescue successfully recovered hundreds of MP3 and pictures from a device that was filled up to 30 GB before being erased to 5 GB and reloaded with a couple of microdrives. The recovery time was around 20 minutes on a 3GHz Pentium IV system with 1GB of memory.
